Johannes was appointed Chief Development Officer on 1 February 2023. Having joined Harmony in 1998, Johannes was appointed chief executive officer of Harmony’s South-East Asia operations in 2008, responsible for Harmony’s portfolio in Papua New Guinea and Australia, after serving as chief financial officer for Harmony South-East Asia since 2003. His key focus areas include leading the Eva copper project into development, progressing the Wafi-Golpu copper-gold project’s permitting and development, and pursuing further external growth opportunities for the Group.
