Chief Executive Mr Bernard Swanepoel resigns from the Western Areas board of directors

Harmony Gold Mine announced today that Chief Executive Mr Bernard Swanepoel had resigned from the Western Areas board of directors with immediate effect.

Swanepoel said that his decision to resign was in the best interests of both parties and that it would enable the Western Areas board to execute its fiduciary duties optimally during the next few months.
