Harmony restructures its South African management team

Chief Executive Bernard Swanepoel, today announced that Alwyn Pretorius will take over as the executive responsible for SA operations with effect from 19 February 2007. He will be appointed a member of the executive team and be based at Melrose Arch, Johannesburg. Alwyn, who has been with Harmony since the Armgold merger in 2003, holds both Industrial and Mining Engineering degrees and has 16 years experience in South African gold mining.

Peter Steenkamp who was previously responsible for the SA operations will be redeployed in the company.
