Continued rumours from Pastorini

Following the recent media reports, Harmony wants to place on record that it is not, nor was it at any stage or in any way whatsoever involved in the alleged scheme with the person calling himself Edward Pastorini to bid for Gold Fields Ltd (GFI).

From the full public disclosure of all the correspondence between Edward Pastorini and Harmony, it is clear that any relationship between the two parties existed only in his mind. This person claiming to be Edward Pastorini, or his supposed cousin Mr Theodore Roxford, continues to contact journalists claiming that despite numerous public denials Harmony supposedly continues to be involved.

For the record:

1. Harmony has no involvement or intention to become involved with the Pastorini scheme.
2. Harmony continues to own just under 15 million GFI shares as a short-term investment and may decide to dispose of these as and when we see fit.
3. Harmony and its employees will no longer comment on this or any matter relating hereto.
