Johannesburg. Tuesday, 27 October 2009. Harmony Gold Mining Company Limited (“Harmony”) announces that it filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) its annual report on Form 20-F for the fiscal year ended 30 June 2009 (“2009 20-F”) on 26 October 2009.

Harmony’s 2009 20-F is available on this website under the “Annual Reports” section and is also available on the SEC’s EDGAR system (http://www.sec.gov).

Harmony’s shareholders and holders of Harmony’s American depositary receipts may request, free of charge, a hard copy of the 2009 20-F, which contains the complete audited financial statements.
