This follows challenges encountered in the implementation of a new Enterprise Resource planning system at the refinery. Harmony Gold Mining Company Limited (“Harmony”) confirms its participation in the loan facility. Harmony owns a 10.38% stake in the Rand Refinery and accounts for it on the equity accounting method as an associate. Harmony expects to make a R125 million provision against its investment in Rand Refinery, which will impact fourth quarter results scheduled for release on Thursday, 14 August 2014.
