Harmony’s South African operations include nine deep-level mines, an open-pit mining operation and several surface retreatment facilities. Combined, these account for gold Mineral Resources of 90.5Moz and gold Mineral Reserves of 22.5Moz.
Our nine underground operations are located within the world-renowned Witwatersrand Basin – one in the Klerksdorp goldfield, three in the West Rand and five in the Free State, in the southern portion of the Witwatersrand Basin.
